Cheapest Ski Resorts in Switzerland 2026/27: 15 Large Ski Areas Compared

Which large Swiss ski resort is cheapest for a full week? We compared 15 areas with at least 100 km of pistes using the same week-long formula. The results show why the cheapest ski resorts in Switzerland cannot be found by comparing lift passes alone.

Finding cheap skiing in Switzerland takes more than looking at lift-pass prices. Seven nights of accommodation usually have a bigger effect on the final total, while mountain food and drink also add up over a week.

We compare the adult six-day pass, seven nights at the budget accommodation price from the first spreadsheet tab, seven 0.5-litre beers and seven mountain lunches. All 15 areas have at least 100 km of pistes. The linked cross-border areas are included and counted as Swiss ski areas.

What does “cheapest ski resort” mean here?

We rank the estimated cost of a full budget week, not just the ski pass. A low pass price does not always mean the cheapest holiday if accommodation costs much more.

How much does a one-week ski holiday in Switzerland cost?

The middle budget-week price is CHF 1,177.44 per adult, while the average is CHF 1,203.52. Four of the 15 areas come in below CHF 1,000 using the same formula.

The range runs from CHF 861.69 at Les Portes du Soleil to CHF 1,705.06 at Corviglia. That is a difference of CHF 843.37 per adult.

What are the cheapest ski resorts in Switzerland?

Les Portes du Soleil is cheapest at CHF 861.69, followed by Grimentz–Zinal at CHF 902.77 and Printse at CHF 921.85.

Printse has the lowest budget accommodation price at CHF 48.84 per person/night. Grimentz–Zinal follows at CHF 50.04, then Les Portes du Soleil at CHF 61.53.

Which large Swiss ski areas offer the best value?

For more than 200 km of pistes below CHF 1,200, the standout choices are Les Portes du Soleil, Printse, Adelboden-Lenk, Jungfrau and Arosa Lenzerheide.

This is a price-and-size shortlist, not a list of the “best” resorts. Piste kilometres do not show snow conditions, queues or whether the terrain suits your group.

Ischgl–Samnaun has the cheapest beer at CHF 5.14, while Ischgl–Samnaun and Les Portes du Soleil share the lowest lunch price at CHF 16.84.

Grimentz–Zinal has the lowest four-star accommodation price at CHF 93.26 per person/night. Aletsch Arena follows at CHF 108.43, while Saas-Fee is third at CHF 144.50.

Why these ski areas?

We included all 15 Swiss and linked cross-border ski areas in the spreadsheet with at least 100 km of marked pistes. Les Portes du Soleil, Zermatt–Cervinia and Ischgl–Samnaun are counted as Swiss entries in this comparison.

Which dates were compared?

Rooms were checked for 25 January–1 February 2027, with two adults sharing one room. The one-day pass date is 28 January and the six-day pass covers 26–31 January.

How was accommodation compared?

We used the budget and four-star accommodation prices from the first spreadsheet tab. The main ranking uses the budget price.

How were beer and lunch compared?

Beer means 0.5 litres. Lunch means a substantial main dish. The spreadsheet uses the median menu price from the available restaurant sample.

How were currencies handled?

The first tab normalises all prices to euros. We converted them to CHF using the workbook’s rate of CHF 0.9353 per EUR and present every figure in CHF.

How current are the prices?

The data was reviewed in August 2026 for the 2026/27 ski season. Prices and room availability can still change.

Which sources support the comparison?

Lift-pass prices were checked against resort sources including Grimentz–Zinal, Aletsch Arena, Saas-Fee, Jungfrau Ski Region, Printse and Verbier. Accommodation and restaurant research is recorded in the BergMe workbook.
